Radiangames has unveiled Speed Demons 2, a side-scrolling highway racer that promises high-speed gameplay and a visual aesthetic reminiscent of the classic arcade racing series Burnout. The game is currently in development for PC, following the success of its mobile predecessor. One of the standout features of Speed Demons 2 is its unique control scheme, which focuses on movement rather than traditional steering. Players will use gas, brake, and turbo (or ability) buttons, while controlling their vehicle’s direction by moving the analog stick or mouse up and down. The developer assures that this unconventional method becomes intuitive once players get started.

Speed Demons 2 offers a variety of game modes, totaling ten in number. Notable modes include Pursuit, Takedown, and Rampage, which all involve destroying other cars within a set time limit, echoing the spirit of Burnout’s Road Rage mode. Another exciting mode is Scratchless, which challenges players to reach the finish line with minimal damage to their car, similar to Burnout’s Burning Lap. Fans of high-speed racing and arcade-style gameplay can wishlist Speed Demons 2 on Steam in anticipation of its release later this year.
