Some ASUS ROG gaming laptop users recently encountered issues such as stutters, freezes, and audio crackles. However, these problems were not caused by hardware but rather by the laptop firmware, as identified by a researcher named 'Zephkek'. ASUS has acknowledged the issue and is addressing it with a Beta BIOS update for the 2023 Strix SCAR 15 and 2023 Zephyrus M16 gaming laptops. More models will receive support soon.
