Avorion Fixes Update - February 12, 2026

Date: February 12, 2026

Avorion, the procedural co‑op space sandbox where players build ships from dynamically scalable blocks, has rolled out a comprehensive set of fixes, stability improvements, and new features. The update aims to enhance gameplay across single‑player, LAN multiplayer, and larger sector engagements.

Beta Branch - Experimental Changes

Players can now opt into the Beta Branch - Newest Changes & Experimental Features via Steam:
Steam → Properties → Betas → ‘Beta Branch - Newest Changes & Experimental Features’.
Use at your own risk.

Networking Stability Improvement

The update fixes lag and rubber‑banding issues that appeared in:

  • Single‑player (Steam offline mode)
  • LAN Multiplayer
  • Rift sectors
  • Sectors with many enemies

This should provide smoother connections and more reliable gameplay.

New Features

  • Harvest command for station fighters: Fighters can now execute the Harvest command across the entire sector.
  • Ship‑menu UI upgrade: Sub‑systems can be removed from disabled slots (e.g., after scaling a ship down). Removal follows the same rules as active slots - permanent upgrades are destroyed unless you are near an equipment dock.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed ship‑rotation speed being unintentionally reduced at high FPS.
  • Fixed tutorial breakage caused by dismissing crew members.
  • Fixed Black Market Trader Missions misbehaving in territories owned by factions the player is at war with.
  • Fixed active Supply Factory command windows showing outdated data or data from another ship.
  • Fixed fighter sub‑system bonuses not displaying correctly in the build‑menu stats.
  • Fixed stray camera animation that played when entering a rift while moving through large player ships.
  • Fixed mouse‑wheel slider adjustments in the shipyard’s build‑ship menu from not working correctly.
  • Fixed shield buffs not resetting after boarding a buffed pirate ship.
  • Fixed encyclopedia search failure to match entries containing "co‑op".
  • Fixed commands being unintentionally issued through open windows in Strategy mode.
  • Mod uploader no longer uploads files or folders that start with a dot (e.g., ".git").
  • Dedicated Server Runner: Fixed the Freeplay Settings window and the Troubleshooting window being only partially visible.
