Avorion Update Brings New Features and Bug Fixes to Enhance Player Experience

September 15, 2025 - The developers of Avorion have released an update packed with new features, improvements, and critical bug fixes aimed at enhancing the gameplay experience for all players. This update is currently available on the beta branch, allowing players to test experimental changes and help identify potential issues.
To access the beta branch, players can follow these steps (at their own risk): Right-click on Avorion in their Steam library, select Properties -> Betas, and choose the 'Beta Branch - Newest Changes & Experimental Features' option.
New Features
- Secondary objective objects are now undockable to prevent confusion.
- Object Detectors can now detect and highlight the Time Device, improving mission clarity.
- Additional dialog has been added to the Time Device to clarify that all Into The Rift story missions must be completed before usage.
- The teleporter's 'Go-To' dialog option has been improved, ensuring players are now oriented toward the teleporter when moved there.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a crash occurring when removing entities with pending updates from a sector [UBR].
- Addressed crashes related to high amounts of loot in a sector and optimized glow particle handling [UBR].
- Resolved a crash that happened when player ships were destroyed at the start of a camera animation [UBR].
- Fixed a crash upon entering a new sector due to loot rendering issues [UBR].
- Corrected an issue where non-functional cube ships were generated for NPCs [UBR].
- Fixed a problem with repair platforms not restoring lost blocks if the ship exceeded the rift missions' weight limit upon entering.
- Addressed partial secondary objective descriptions appearing for tracked missions.
- Fixed translation issues in some mission descriptions.
- Resolved an issue where the continue button was disabled after version updates (Note: Previous galaxies remain accessible via 'Singleplayer').
