Backpack Battles Introduces Engineer Class with Free Update

September 25, 2025 - Today, we are thrilled to announce the latest development for Backpack Battles, our beloved PvP inventory management auto battler game. The highly anticipated seventh class, the Engineer, is now in early development and set to release in early 2026 as a free update for all existing players.

The Engineer brings an exciting new core mechanic centered around shooting electrical charges that provide bonuses when traveling over items in your inventory. These electrical charges will interact with items in various ways-for instance, certain items may emit or manipulate these charges, while others could benefit from them directly (e.g., a Battery item). Additionally, the update explores secondary themes such as stamina manipulation and advancing item cooldowns under specific conditions.
