ChilloutVR Releases Hotfix Update to Enhance User Experience

September 12, 2025 - Today, ChilloutVR announced a significant hotfix update designed to improve the overall user experience for its players. As a social sandbox game that allows users to create, share, and explore virtual content in a massive multiplayer metaverse, ChilloutVR continues to evolve with updates that address player feedback and enhance functionality.

The latest update includes several new features and bug fixes aimed at addressing issues reported by the community. Notable additions include:

  • Added Filter Own Avatar and Filter Own Spawned Prop: Players can now easily filter their own avatars and spawned props, streamlining content management within the game.
  • New User Interface Category for UI Settings: A dedicated category has been introduced to organize UI-related settings, making navigation more intuitive for users.
  • Toggles for VR Interaction: Players can now enable or disable UI joystick scrolling in VR and toggle smooth scroll in the menu, offering greater customization of their in-game experience.
  • VRCFT UnifiedExpressions License Addition: The ThirdPartyLicenses.md file has been updated to include the VRCFT UnifiedExpressions license, ensuring transparency regarding third-party assets used in the game.

Bug fixes included in this update address a range of issues that previously affected gameplay and user experience. Some key fixes are:

  • Invalid Home World Issue: Players were occasionally getting stuck at the login room due to an invalid home world, which has now been resolved.
  • Keyboard Settings Not Saving Properly: The issue where keyboard settings failed to save correctly has been addressed, ensuring that user preferences are preserved between sessions.
  • Player Height Adjustment Bug: A bug that allowed setting player height below zero and caused game crashes has been fixed, enhancing stability and preventing unexpected errors.
  • Clock Display Issue: The Quick Menu and Main Menu clocks now correctly display hours at midnight in 12-hour mode, no longer showing '00' for hours less than 10.

Additional bug fixes include resolving issues with portal de-spawn times, Steam Overlay screenshots saving in incorrect color spaces, nameplate rendering in mirrors and portable cameras, tooltip visibility after ToggleView firing, HUD Cohtml component issues when hidden, and merged Prop and Avatar filter categories into a single Content Filters section with tabs for better organization.
