CRUEL is a fast run‑and‑gun horror shooter with roguelike elements that has just received a comprehensive update. The patch refines control sensitivity, expands perk options, restores missing menus, and corrects a range of bugs that have been reported by the community.

Highlights

  • Mouse sensitivity slider now displays its value and has been re‑scaled to allow lower sensitivity settings.
  • New “Mouse relative” option added - the setting that the old build used for mouse sensitivity.
  • Mouse‑and‑controller look sensitivities are now independent, letting players mix controller and mouse controls.
  • Melee mode now lets you use weapons with both the melee key and the shoot key.
  • Restored perk screen in No‑Guns mode - gun‑related perks are removed and the perk screen appears again.
  • Perk selection in Endless mode expanded from 3 to 5 choices.
  • Pro Endless players now receive progressively less soda on later floors, balancing the difficulty curve.

  • Trap‑kill colliders now remove correctly.
  • Duplicate names in the death diary are culled to avoid duplication.
  • Dear Diary achievement now requires the correct 5 entries for the first page (previously 7).
  • Oofrian name credit fixed.
  • Erik perk removal now correctly deletes burnt cards.
  • Cheater perk removal now displays only two cards as intended.
  • Shader issue on photograph pegs (they were darker) has been resolved.
  • Typos in tips and the death diary have been corrected.
  • GPU particle compilation now uses the old loading‑screen method, addressing stutter complaints.
