Despot's Game: Dystopian Battle Simulator returns with a fresh season and a host of balance changes, pricing updates, and new features. Players once again guide their puny human squads through rogue‑like tactical battles, equipping and sacrificing troops across procedural dungeons while competing against other players.
Season 5 Price Hike & Luxury Tax
- All Tier 5 crafting components now cost 30 % more in the King of the Hill and Director’s Cut modes.
- The new "Season of Luxury Tax" replaces the previous "Season of Puny Humans". The "newbies are twice as powerful and cost twice as much" buffs are no longer active.
Discounts & Cost Reductions
- Mana Regeneration tokens are cheaper:
- King of the Hill - Level 5: 100 → 70 tokens, Level 6: 120 → 90 tokens
- Brawl - Level 6: 100 → 80 tokens
- Newbie shop price lowered from 4 → 2; in non‑food modes the price now grows twice as slowly and the cap drops from 20 → 10.
Balance Tweaks
- Speed Magic can now also drop for Tricksters.
- Cleansing cooldown reduced from 4 → 3 seconds; mana cost increased from 35 → 45.
- Acid Bullets armor‑debuff raised (global: 5 % → 7 %; Brawl: 3 % → 5 %).
- Feint damage increased (global: 230 → 350; Brawl: 200 → 350).
- Delayed Pain duration extended from 2 s → 3 s.
- Impostor damage bonus boosted from 50 % → 70 %.
- Mage Gene magic‑damage bonus raised from 100 % → 150 %.
- Eggheads’ items receive modest damage bumps:
- Tier 2 Cartful of Toxins 80 → 100
- Tier 4 Turret 140 → 160
- Tier 5 Dr. Octopus’s Claws 210 → 240
Season 51 Details
Season 51 begins immediately and runs until 12 Mar 2026 16:00 UTC. Winners of Season 50 (Dayemon, DrunkMantis, Puny Izard) receive a victory medal displayed next to their name on the leaderboard.

- Season of Luxury Tax - raises Tier 5 component prices by 30 % in specific modes.
