Dying Light 11th Anniversary Celebration - New Time‑Limited Events and Features
Date: February 13, 2026
Dying Light, the first‑person action survival game set in a post‑apocalyptic open world overrun by flesh‑hungry zombies, marks its 11th anniversary with two classic, time‑limited events. Players can once again roam the devastated city, scavenge for supplies, craft weapons, and battle hordes of the infected.
Event Schedule
Week 1 - Super Crane (February 12 - February 18): The grappling hook receives unlimited use and an extended range, simplifying enemy pulling. Players are challenged to kill 100 zombies using fall damage to earn a gold‑tier weapon.
Week 2 - Low Gravity (February 19 - February 26): The entire city feels lighter. Jumps are higher, landings are softer, and attacks can launch enemies into the air. This week also requires 100 zombie kills (regular kills) for the same gold‑tier reward.
New Features
During the Super Crane event the grappling hook has no cooldown and an increased range, making traversal and crowd‑control easier.
The Low Gravity event introduces altered physics: lighter jumps with higher arcs, reduced fall‑damage from softer landings, and the ability to send enemies flying with attacks.
These events encourage players to experiment with vertical movement and new combat strategies while hunting the undead.
