GONE Fishing Announces Major Fixes and Enhancements
Developers of the co-op multiplayer survival horror game GONE Fishing have released a significant update packed with new features, bug fixes, and improvements. The update aims to enhance gameplay, address player-reported issues, and introduce fresh challenges for players to tackle.
New Features and Events
- A new event has been added where players can face death from a creature emerging from the water.
- A new Catchable Monster has been introduced, along with sightings in the wild, adding variety to encounters.
- Version 1 of fish rotting is now available on the hardest difficulty, introducing a decay mechanic where fish undergo a 'rot tick' every five minutes. Various factors affect the rate of decay, and cooked fish reduce point loss by half. Additionally, fish in inventory do not rot.
- Visual improvements have been made to Puffer Fish, enhancing their appearance in gameplay.
- VOIP range has been increased by approximately 40%, improving communication among players during co-op sessions.
- The base value of Goldfish has been increased from 33 to 45, boosting their value in the game economy.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
- Edge cases causing upgrades to reset in the save system have been fixed.
- An issue where joining a game resets upgrades has been resolved.
- Problems with Jeremy Wade and fishing difficulty resetting to Average Angler have been addressed.
- Logic has been added to prevent pole level issues when at max upgrades.
- An updated cabin is now applied to all maps, not just the lake map, enhancing consistency in game environments.
- An edge case where the endgame screen wouldn't show, preventing exit from the game, has been resolved.
