GONE Fishing Update: Fishing System V2, Optimizations, and Fixes Live on Steam

GONE Fishing, the 1-8 player survival horror game where players must work together to stay alive by fishing, has received a significant update. The game's Fishing System V2 is now live, bringing massive CPU and network optimizations to the experience.

Key updates include a completely rebuilt fishing system that runs locally on each client's machine. A new mechanic has been introduced where holding LMB reels in constantly with speed based on bar position. Players will also see a new UI overhaul with aesthetic changes and an in-game pole attachment option.

The beer bonus has been nerfed and changed to a float graph formula with a maximum 30% boost. Night time fishing (18:00 and after) now grants a 10% bonus to bait score, and the thunder storm bonus has increased from 20% to 25%.

Several bug fixes have been implemented to improve the gameplay. Bobber movement in water has been made smoother, and fish size now plays a larger role in difficulty. The amount of days survived bonus is now less randomized. Specific issues such as fish traps, bait spawning, sky spawning creatures, oxygen meter, game crash, and profile display have been addressed.

Other notable changes include an increase in the Butcher Table cost to 60 points, and the removal of the jungle boat which was acknowledged as broken and will be fixed later.
