Gunfire Reborn Introduces Season 7 with Mystical Runes, New Weapons, and Co-op Adventure

Gunfire Reborn has announced the upcoming launch of Season 7, a significant update that introduces a mystical new theme centered around hallowed arrays, Rune Stones, and Runic Energy. The update, scheduled for early February, invites players to embark on a new level-based adventure blending FPS, Roguelite, and RPG elements.
Mystic Runes and Runic Energy
In this new season, players will discover Rune Stones infused with uncanny power scattered across the realm. Each Rune Stone possesses a unique effect, but activating them requires sufficient Runic Energy. Players must strategically place energy sources that cover different radiant zones to unleash these powerful abilities. A new Rune Stone Merchant will also appear during adventures to offer these items and energy sources.
As players explore procedurally-generated levels, they may encounter special room challenges involving enemies empowered by these Rune Stones. By mastering the formation secrets of these stones, players can unlock hidden potential to overcome obstacles.
New Weapons and Combat Upgrades
Season 7 brings two exciting new weapons to the arsenal:
- Cloud Edge (Melee Weapon): This blade suppresses enemies with high-speed cleaves to gain energy. Once charged, it unleashes the storm's power with dual blades.
- Purgator (Automatic Rifle): This firearm siphons and stores Soulfire while damaging enemies. Upon accumulation, it fires a powerful projectile that shackles the target and nearby monsters.
The update also features several balance changes and enhancements, including a revamped charge mechanism for Goshawk, improved late-game strength for the [Hardwood Missile] Build, and adjustments to Nona's [Precision] Build to reduce the burden of manual Mecha Drop usage.
Season 7 is set to launch early February, with a new trailer to be released soon.
