Icarus New Release Announced with Enhanced Features and Bug Fixes

September 12, 2025 - Today, the developers of ICARUS, a PvE survival game for up to eight players, have announced a significant update to their popular title. This release introduces new features, performance improvements, and addresses various bugs to enhance the gaming experience.

In this update, players will find the newly introduced 'CHAC' Rifle in the Orbital Workshop, complete with 25% critical damage and a quick 0.8-second reload time. Additionally, the workshop now offers 7.62mm ammo for the CHAC Rifle, providing players with more flexibility in their arsenals. The update also includes performance-focused patches set to release next week, ensuring smoother gameplay for all.

Other notable additions include:

  • The ability to display server 'FPS' on the escape menu for clients
  • Adjusted textures and fire rate for the CHAC Rifle
  • Addition of oil geyser audio loop, burst audio, and end loop audio

Bug fixes in this update address issues such as crafting problems with drink flavors (tea/coffee/cocoa), removal of obsolete BetaWeekend content, ice melting without containers, modifiers not being removed from mounts sent to space, and missing blood splats for drill arrows. Furthermore, the Rope recipe (from Fiber) has been added back to Textiles benches.
