MicroWorks Updates: Enhanced Features and Bug Fixes Announced

October 05, 2025 - Today, MicroWorks announced a series of updates aimed at improving gameplay and addressing recent issues. The updates introduce new features and bug fixes to enhance the player experience.

New Features:

  • Added "GameObject:SetUsageMessage(message)"
  • Added "GameObject:SetUsageDistance(distance)"
  • Added "GameObject:SetUsageButton(action)"
  • Added "MicrogameCoordinator:IsLateJoining()"
  • Audio clips imported from MicroKit are now loaded into memory, enabling reuse.

Bug Fixes:

  • A patch was deployed to address a security vulnerability in the Unity runtime (CVE-2025-59489) for MicroWorks and MicroKit.
  • Fixed a softlock issue after opening the emote editor when server connection fails.
  • The "Unlocalized Games" host setting is now off by default for non-English languages and will be saved as a preference.
  • MODDING: Resolved an issue where late joiners ran custom boss logic before the Lua world initialized.
