Monster Train 2: Free Content Update Introduces Wurmkin Clan and Destiny of the Railforged DLC
January 31, 2026
Monster Train returns with all new clans, new enemy factions, new challenges, new modes, and more! Defend your Pyre in the classic three‑tiered, vertical gameplay that made the original roguelike deck‑builder a hit.
Free Wurmkin Clan Arrives February 2, 2026
The fan‑favorite Wurmkin clan is added as a free content update to the base game, launching alongside the paid DLC Destiny of the Railforged. All Wurmkin cards have been re‑balanced to fit Monster Train 2’s mechanics; a complete list of balance changes is available in the linked announcement.
Two new champion paths are introduced for the Wurmkin:
- Spine Chief - three tiers (Decayer I‑III) with increasing Reap values and health/attack stats.
- Echowright - three tiers (Corruptor I‑III) that grant +ATTACK per ECHO to friendly units.
A launch‑day live stream with Shiny Shoe designers Albert and Colin is scheduled for Feb 2 2026, 11:30 AM PST. Players are invited to discuss the update on the official Shiny Shoe Discord and to leave comments on the announcement.
