Mycopunk Update Brings New Weapons, Features, and Enhancements to Co-op Shooter

September 15, 2025 - Today, developers of Mycopunk announced a significant update to their hyper-customisable mission-based co-op shooter. The new release introduces fresh content and improvements, further enhancing the game's already engaging experience.
In Update 1.4, players will discover The Shocklance, a brand-new weapon complete with an array of exciting upgrades. Additionally, the introduction of Weapon Focusing at level 4 allows players to prioritise specific weapons by pressing the middle mouse button on their inventory item, increasing the chance of finding relevant upgrades.
The update also brings substantial changes to the Saxonite Transport mission. Players can now expect rocket launch pads to be closer to truck garages, with new launch pads added across all levels. The number of barrels required has been reduced from 3-4 to just 2, streamlining the process while maintaining excitement. Furthermore, Hunk’s waypoint size has been adjusted for better visibility, ensuring smoother gameplay.
Other notable updates include improvements to the Wrangler Objects, where lassoed items will no longer miss their targets and fly past players. The game now features two new character skins: a Globbler Overgrowth skin and a Carver Pardoned skin, adding fresh visual variety to the game. Players can also look forward to 'NEW' notifications on upgrade pickups the first time they discover them.
Bug fixes have been implemented to address several issues reported by the community:
- Fixed a bug where damage numbers from melee attacks could appear at the world origin.
- Resolved an issue where enemies occasionally teleported towards players.
- Addressed a problem where discovered Broken Frame upgrades couldn't be crafted.
- Improved Clamber mechanics to prevent players from being launched off thin surfaces or into ceilings.
The full details of the update can be found on the official Steam Community announcement page: Mycopunk Update 1.4.
Mycopunk continues to thrive as a unique co-op shooter, offering players the chance to join the New Atlas Hazard Crew in their fight against a galactic fungal menace with its blend of customisable robots and strategic missions.
