Nin Online Update: Critical Hits, Fixes, and New Jutsu
January 24, 2026 - Nin Online, the ninja open-world MMORPG where players train with powerful Jutsu and rise through the ranks of their village, has received a significant update today. The latest patch introduces new features, rebalances combat mechanics, and addresses several player-reported issues.
Players worldwide, joining the community of over a hundred thousand, will immediately notice changes to the Shockwave Slash Technique. A new Jutsu Evolution for this attack has been added. Furthermore, the developers have granted the ability to land Critical Hits with all Jutsu, a change accompanied by the addition of a (Critical Hit!) indicator in combat messages for better visibility.
Combat Rebalances and Fixes
Balancing efforts have focused on Critical Hit mechanics, with the Agility to Critical Hit Rate conversion reduced. Several self-stun durations have been shortened, including Mountain Crusher (1s to 0.5s) and Blade Piercing Technique (1s to 0.5s). Additionally, the self-stun from Antibodies Activation Technique has been completely removed.
- Vacuum Palm Projectile Speed increased.
- Antibodies Activation Technique Cast Time increased from 1 to 2 seconds.
- Dueling now correctly grants objective progress for PvP Kill Missions.
- Damage Over Time (DoT) effects no longer steal Life or Chakra.
- Attacking a player's summon or escorted NPC now introduces a PvP Timer.
Visual and Quality of Life Updates
Visual improvements are on the way with new animations for the Kitchen Stove, Fuze's Large Candle, and the Chateau Grandfather Clock. The update also fixes several long-standing issues, including floating lilypads in Takumi Village and the disappearance of trees in the Hawk server.
For a full list of changes, including a fix for server lagging caused by live map reloading since version 5.11.7, players can visit the official Steam Community Announcement page.
