Once Human New Release - February 24, 2026
Date: February 24, 2026
Subject: Once Human New Release
The upcoming February 25 (PT) update for Once Human will bring a suite of balance changes, new features, and bug fixes to the multiplayer open‑world survival experience.
Key Highlights
- Combat system balance remains a core focus, with ongoing adjustments to keep gameplay fresh and strategically deep.
- All listed changes will go live in the February 25 (PT) update.
- Three Blueprint Conversion Attempts will be granted to every player after the update to smooth the transition.
New Features
- Deviations now have corrected Crit‑Hit and Crit‑DMG calculations and receive a flat increase to Battle‑Skill damage.
- Pyroclasm Starter, Pathfinder, and Additional Rules now deal Status DMG when charged, while still scaling with Crit Hit/Crit DMG and Weakspot/Weap‑DMG bonuses.
- Standardized trigger condition for all charged Deviation skills to “when shooting hits a target” (works in both charged and uncharged states).
- Pyroclasm Starter gains a 27 % Burn‑application chance on hit, a 20 % chance to spawn collectible Deviant Particles, and a reload‑based Dragon’s Breath round that deals Blaze Elemental Status DMG with +20 % Blaze DMG and up to +8 % per stack (max 4).
- Pathfinder’s Charged Shot now fires a piercing ice spike that deals Frost Elemental Status DMG (benefits from Frost Vortex bonus, 20 % damage to Metas) with +30 % Frost Elemental DMG and up to +8 % DMG for 15 s (max 3 stacks).
- Additional Rules now deals Elemental Status DMG after Deviation skill use, restores 25 % of empty magazine capacity as Deviant Power (up to 20 pts per reload), and grants +15 % Crit Rate while under Fortress Warfare status.
- Gilded Gauntlets receive a new Crit‑Hit ability for Burn effects, scaling with the character’s Crit Rate, and receive +20 % Burn Crit Rate and Burn Crit DMG.
- All sniper rifles (e.g., Pathfinder, Octopus! Grilled Rings!) will see increased bullet production outside Raid‑Zone Mode, reducing ammo cost.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where certain Deviation Battle Skills failed to correctly calculate Crit Hit and Crit DMG under specific conditions, resulting in lower‑than‑expected damage.
- Fixed an issue where Polar Jelly and Invincible Sun incorrectly applied the wrong vulnerability type; they now correctly apply Status Vulnerability.
- Resolved calculation errors that caused lower damage for weapon‑damage‑type Deviation Battle Skills, and added a flat damage boost to compensate.
