Project Zomboid Receives Major Updates and Fixes
October 02, 2025 - Today, the developers of Project Zomboid have released a significant update to their popular zombie survival game. This update addresses numerous bugs and introduces new features to enhance gameplay.
Among the highlights are updates to ballistic target priority logic, which now prioritizes body parts in the order of Head > Spine > Pelvis > Others. Additionally, camera target selection has been updated to align with this priority system. Players can also expect fixes for issues related to clothing mods and weapon categories.
Bug fixes include addressing a Shoving bug scheduled for release in 42.12.2, resolving visual system glitches that caused unseen rooms to blackout, and correcting performance drops when player-made-building code runs without nearby constructions. Other notable fixes involve issues with animal traps not resetting trapped time correctly, problems with item model rendering, roof cutting inconsistencies, and vehicle horn playback limitations.
Further details regarding these updates can be found on the Steam Community announcement page: Project Zomboid Update Details.
Players are encouraged to explore these updates and provide feedback to help shape future developments of Project Zomboid.
