Do you have what it takes to be an astronaut? Reentry is a realistic space flight simulator based on NASA's space programs; from the first American human spaceflight in Project Mercury, the rendezvous and EVAs of Project Gemini to the Moon landing in Project Apollo.

Today, we are thrilled to announce a series of improvements and fixes across Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo. These updates aim to enhance your experience and ensure Reentry remains the most authentic space flight simulator available.

Among the highlights:

  • Major overhaul of the Apollo Command Module Academy (3 out of 4 Academy overhauls complete)
  • New Features:
  • Mercury Periscope Altitude estimators implemented
  • Gemini OAMS fuel balancing refined with increased fuel availability
  • Improved Apollo Command Module Academy lessons with better message queue handling, system descriptions, and event highlighting
  • Interaction Highlighter vs. Attention Highlighter distinction (lilac for Attention, ice blue for Interaction)
  • Mission Pad Transcript fixes to prevent blank pages and improve timestamp formatting
  • Sound effect stuttering fixes for Mercury Landing Bag and Gemini thrusters
  • Improved button press logic between DSKYs on MDC-2 and LEB
  • Apollo ACCEL-G gauge fully functional
  • Gemini Push Button Highlighter fixes
  • Ocean above the window fixed during Apollo Entry Transition
  • TLI and CMC improvements (TB6 time on N33, S-IVB engine re-ignition lights)
  • EMS ΔV/EMS INCR/DECR fixes with improved button logic and animations
  • CMC/LGC Octal rendering without required signs
  • Additional model details and highlighters for Apollo Command Module panels

  • Fixes to Gemini-Titan 3 historical mission
  • Apollo ACCEL-G gauge issues resolved
  • Gemini Push Button Highlighter fixes (rendered below panel issue)
  • Fixed ocean rendering during Apollo Entry Transition
  • Gemini Rate Command SFX stuttering fixed
  • Corrected P15 display for TB6 on N33
  • Internal TB6 event logic improved
  • Apollo CM Academy lesson improvements and bug fixes
  • Highlighter logic updated to support dual CMC/AGC buttons
  • Fixed EMS ΔV/EMS INCR/DECR button behavior with animations
  • Minor panel fixes in Apollo Command Module
  • Updated Academy lessons for hidden panels
