Do you have what it takes to be an astronaut? Reentry is a realistic space flight simulator based on NASA's space programs; from the first American human spaceflight in Project Mercury, the rendezvous and EVAs of Project Gemini to the Moon landing in Project Apollo.
Highlights:
- Improved Mercury autopilot fuel efficiency
- Updated rendering and lighting systems
- Added new Plume Renderer for Mercury and Gemini
- Enhanced Mercury cockpit with improved indicator lights, gauges, and interactable components
- Resolved reported issues including Earth Atmosphere shader NaN errors, Astronaut Hider bugs, and P01 alignment issues during time scaling
New Features:
- Plume Renderer added to Mercury and Gemini for dynamic plumes
- Improved Mercury cockpit with updated indicator lights, gauges, and EPI model
- Dynamic Cabin Audio enhancements including new sound effects for cabin depressurization/repressurization and EPI ticking noise
- Option to toggle Bloom Effect in post-processing (planned for future updates)
- Unity Security Patch applied
Bug fixes:
- Corrected Mercury ASCS roll overshooting issue caused by a rate limiter problem
- Fixed Earth Atmosphere shader NaN error causing visual artifacts and bloom system triggers
- Resolved Astronaut Hider logic issues where astronauts were not hidden correctly when cameras were near or inside their heads
- Addressed P01 timescale block causing alignment failures during Apollo Command Module pre-liftoff procedures
- Fixed SSAO layer artifacts in the Mercury cockpit
- Corrected Earth brightness and tone issues, reducing overbrightness in desert areas with clouds below
- Improved Clouds renderer with recoloring for better visual appeal
- Fixed issue with RCS Rate Command logic in both Mercury and Gemini crafts
- Minor updates to CM Lesson 9 Earth Entry process
