Game Overview
Stationeers places players in control of building and managing a space station, either solo or with friends online. The game challenges players with complex atmospheric, electrical, manufacturing, agriculture, and gravitational systems that require constant monitoring and management.
Performance Highlights
- 30 % faster network message serialization for both read‑ and write‑operations, cutting memory allocation.
- Server‑side rewrite of the last‑tick world‑change assembler removes unnecessary object creation and array double‑handling; the same optimisation was applied to the client‑side unpacker.
- Resulting in more responsive connections to large bases and noticeably more stable frame‑times for locally hosted servers.
- Full C# RakNet package replaces the old, limited API; the new package is a 1:1 drop‑in, exposes the entire RakNet API, brings in a newer RakNet version and enables a suite of in‑game debug tools.
