Talented DLC and 1.3 Update Coming Next Week
The Beastmaster's Call DLC and version 1.3 update for the game Talented are set to release in one week, bringing a host of new features, quality-of-life improvements, and buffs for existing characters. This update, announced on January 23, 2026, aims to enhance the roguelite experience for players already familiar with the 20-night survival mode.
New Features and Content
Players will welcome several new additions to the game, including:
- Mastery 35: An exciting new level cap that further deepens the progression system.
- Ability Upgrades: A new system allowing for greater character customization and power.
- Beastmaster Character: A fresh hero to add to your roster of survivors.
- Gauntlet Mode: A challenging new game mode for those looking to test their skills.
Additionally, the update introduces significant quality-of-life improvements. Players can now adjust game speed (1.2, 1.5, and 2.0x) in both Endless Mode and Eternal Nightmare, and skip post-game result animations by pressing Escape. To make the interface more intuitive, damage numbers from status effects will now change color, and a Talented-themed cursor has been added to the game.
Buffs and Adjustments
Several existing characters and game mechanics will receive buffs in this update. The Summoner gets a significant boost in Waves Mode, including a 25% increase in MP regeneration, 15% faster summon speed, +5 HP, and +10 Max MP. The Alchemist will see their ability upgrades buffed, particularly for the 3rd and 4th ingredients of their abilities.
The Icky Wave is also being adjusted, spawning only 4 flies per lane instead of the previous amount. The developers have stated that they will be closely monitoring feedback from the community and are prepared to release hotfixes as needed following the update's release.
Are you truly Talented enough to survive the 'Demonic Conveyor Belt' with these new additions?
