Terminus: Zombie Survivors V1.2.1 Update Released with Enhanced Companion System
September 19, 2025 - Today marks an exciting milestone for fans of Terminus: Zombie Survivors, as the V1.2.1 update is now live on Steam. This highly anticipated update focuses on community-requested improvements to the companion system within the Last Escape DLC, alongside essential bug fixes and performance enhancements.
Terminus: Zombie Survivors is a gripping 2D turn-based survival roguelike set against the backdrop of a zombie apocalypse. Each journey is unique, challenging players to navigate hunger, cold, and hordes of undead as they strive to reach the enigmatic Terminus for salvation.
This update introduces several new features:
- Survivors from the base game can now reappear and be recruited in the Last Escape DLC (applicable only to new playthroughs post-update)
- Companions can freely move with players inside and outside Terminus
- Both recruited companions and escorted survivors are now fully controllable
- Escorted survivors are marked with an icon for easier identification
- Popup notifications have been added when the companion limit is exceeded or during specific conditions in the final quest
- In the JOE quest, makeshift blankets can now be used as substitutes for regular ones
Bug Fixes:
- Resolved a crash that occurred when SARAH appeared to assign a mission at the end of the game
- Fixed an issue where mannequins disappeared after being searched
- Addressed the problem where Terminus survivors vanished after consuming excessive medicine
- Corrected DLC achievements not saving to player profiles upon completion
- Fixed a startup error on certain Mac environments
