TerraTech Worlds New Release - Unstable Update Now Available on Steam Beta

February 24, 2026 - The developers of TerraTech Worlds have announced a new unstable update on the Steam beta branch, titled ttw_unstable - work‑in‑progress version. This work‑in‑progress build focuses on improving overall quality by identifying and fixing bugs and refining game balance.

Players can access the unstable branch by right‑clicking TerraTech Worlds in their Steam library, selecting Properties, navigating to Betas, and choosing the ttw_unstable option. The community is encouraged to provide feedback and report bugs through the official Discord, using the unstable role in #role‑opt‑in. Prospectors are reminded to back up their save games before switching to the unstable branch.

Key adjustments include reduced buoyancy for larger wheels to prevent easy water travel, and an enhanced build‑quality workflow preparing for the default release. Recent bug fixes address an intermittent crash when dragging blocks, a disappearing Cuprite collision that hindered mining, a missing enemy indicator for mission objectives on the HALO for clients, controller LB/RB tab cycling issues in the trader UI, and a dedicated server loading any empty save slot instead of only legacy format saves.
