The Void Rains Upon Her Heart - February 24, 2026

Date: February 24, 2026

Today sees the launch of The Void Rains Upon Her Heart, a fresh entry in the bullet‑hell rogue‑like genre now available on Steam. Players assume the role of a fragile heart tasked with surviving a gauntlet of increasingly dangerous boss encounters, each battle delivering random power‑ups that fortify the heart while threatening to shatter it.

Highlights

  • Engage in a boss‑rush mode where each victory grants randomized enhancements.
  • Elemental damage effects have been added to several battles, including the newest two.
  • Battle‑tips are now viewable for any monster in any mode, even quick‑play.
  • Notes have been added for the two newest monsters.
  • Special descriptive text appears at the top of the monster‑select menu during stage events.
  • Zap danger bubbles have been recolored for clearer distinction from yellow safety bubbles.
  • “Burdened helpers” have been renamed to “Thorned helpers” to better reflect their negative‑effect nature.
  • Wrap‑around navigation now allows seamless tabbing between the first and last monster options.
  • A third battle variant, reminiscent of wrathful and repelling battles, has been introduced (still in development).

New Features

  • Elemental damage is now applied to monsters such as Scrambla, Shy Scrambla, Boiler, Rage Boiler, Glacia, Alter Glacia, Null Glacia, Blot, Avoidant Blot, and Null Blot.
  • All Glacias have had their burn weakness slightly reduced to balance the new igniting petal effect.
  • Monster bullets pop upon hitting the player’s core, with particles matching the bullet’s element when destroyed or absorbed by a panic.
  • The battle‑tips page is accessible from any menu where monsters can be inspected, including quick‑play.
  • Defense values for several monsters have been fine‑tuned.
  • The two new monsters appear only in story mode after viewing the shiny battle tutorial.
  • Navigation wrap‑around has been implemented for monster‑tabbing.
  • Special descriptive text now appears at the top of the monster‑select menu during stage events.
  • One of the newest Dreams now disallows the use of a panic attack.

Bug Fixes

  • Defense values have been adjusted to correct previously unbalanced monster defenses.
  • Particle‑color matching for bullets destroyed or absorbed by panic has been fixed to reflect the bullet’s element.
  • “Burdened helpers” have been renamed to “Thorned helpers” for clearer categorization.
  • The burn‑weakness of all Glacias has been re‑balanced to align with the new igniting petal effect.
